SystmOnline is now available to patients as an app for iPhones, iPads and other Apple devices running the iOS operating system. The app is listed on the App Store and is free to download. To download the app, search for "SystmOnline" in the app store.
Patients can use their existing SystmOnline login details to access the online services offered via the app.
The app is listed on the App Store and is free to download. To download the app, search for NHS App in the app store.
Patients will be able to access via a single NHS log on.
Patients will be asked to create an account and will be directed to obtain a linkage key (to link to the practice clinical system) and an ODS code from their practice plus their online account ID (for their current practice online access).
Alternatively patients can sign up via citizen identity by taking a photo of their ID and filming a video (instructions given on the app). Patients should be directed to use this method if at all possible as it will limit calls to practices to obtain information that patients may have forgotten.
If patients are already registered for online access, they will be given exactly the same level of access via the app.
If they require full access to their record, they will need to request this with their practice.
April –June 2019 is the national roll-out period and all practices will need to be live by 1st July 2019.
September is when the national campaign will begin and there will be a nationwide advertising campaign.
