Advanced Nurse Practitioners
Our advanced nurse practitioners are all independent prescribers and hold qualifications in autonomous diagnosis. They are available to advise and prescribe for a wide variety of minor illnesses, such as: cough, colds, earache, sore throats, conjunctivitis, joint & back problems, hay fever, ‘women’s problems’, urine problems, rashes / other skin problems and morning after pill. They cannot deal with on-going problems that the Doctor is investigating, and cannot issue sick notes. It would help immensely if you could indicate some idea of what the problem is when you book an appointment with the ANP. You may prebook an appointment with the ANP but can also book on the same day.
