Prescriptions

You may order your repeat prescriptions by telephone, fax, online or via email.

We also have a 24 hour repeat prescription line in which you can leave a message to order your prescription. This is cleared throughout the day by the dispensers. If they have any queries they will contact you. Please note when you order on the 24 hour repeat prescription line it is still 72 hours working notice for your prescriptions.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

We require 72 working hours notice when ordering your repeat prescriptions or longer if possible. Weekends and Bank Holidays are not counted as working days.

During the Bank Holidays and Christmas Period please allow a minimum of three working days.

Mondays are very busy - please order mid week when possible even if you are a little early as this will significantly help staff and patients obtain orders in a timely manner.

Urgent Prescriptions

If you require an item urgently please either present your prescription to the dispensary (Crowle and Keadby only) or contact a member of staff at the surgery who will check whether the item you require is in stock.

Email addresses for ordering repeat medication from the surgery you are registered at are below. Please note: If you order via email please do not assume it has been received until you receive a response, then you will also be informed of when it will be available.

Prescripton charges and exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

NHS Charges from April 2021 to April 2022

  • Single charge: £9.35
  • 3-month PPC (no change): £30.25
  • 12-month PPC (no change): £108.10
